MICHAEL/FINNEY PRODUCTIONS
Michael/Finney Productions, Inc. was formed in 1997 by the pairing of
producer-screenwriter Richard Finney
and producer Terence Michael to pursue certain
film-related projects the two were passionate about. Shortly
after its formation, Michael/Finney signed a three-picture deal with
Fox Family (which later
became ABC Family) to develop and produce TV projects. Their
first
production was based on Andrew Neiderman's (The Devil's Advocate)
best-selling book, Perfect Little Angels,
which aired in 1998 on the network. Their next TV project -- The Pact: A Love Story from best-selling author
Jodi Picoult, produced in collaboration with Samuelson Productions
(Arlington
road) --aired on The Lifetime Channel in 2002.
Remaining with its roots, however, Michael/Finney mostly
concentrated on feature films. Their first feature as partners
was the teen comedy 100 Girls starring
Jonathan Tucker, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Jamie Pressly, Katherine Heigl,
Larisa Oleynik, and Marissa Ribisi. Lions Gate Entertainment
released the film September 25, 2001. The success of this film
led to the sequel, 100 Women, as well as According To Spencer starring Jesse Bradford,
Mia Kirshner, Adam Goldberg, David Krumholtz, and Giovanni Ribisi --
both also released by Lions Gate. The last collaborative
production for Michael/Finney was Going
Greek starring Dylan Bruno, Laura Harris, Simon Rex, Dublin James,
Chris Owen, and Susan Ward.
